Our comfortable rooms are spread throughout lovingly landscaped tropical gardens featuring a wealth of flowers, tropical plants and an extensive pond teeming with tropical fish. Since Koh Chang is a jungle paradise nestling in a beautiful marine national park we reflect the tropical beauty of your holiday location in the gardens, rooms and setting of Koh Chang Tropicana Resort and Spa.

Our seventy seven spacious rooms are laid out across our extensive beachside gardens. The focus is on comfort and luxury cradled in a pristine natural setting.

All of our rooms are the last word in comfort and are equipped with air-conditioners and/or fans for those who prefer. As you would expect the rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities, a refrigerator and a mini-bar and all the facilities you would expect from a luxury resort.

The rooms combine the best of traditional and modern design. The exterior offers thatched roofs and natural construction materials that blend seamlessly into the rustic sophistication of our garden resort setting. The interiors are tastefully appointed with the finest modern natural fixtures and fittings and as soon as you lie down you will appreciate the comfort of our expansive beds.

The expansive architecture of our rooms is accentuated by the installation of full glass frontages – you can draw the curtains for privacy or open the room to enjoy the tropical gardens. All of our rooms also have a balcony so you can relax both indoors and out.

Our bathrooms are a special feature – offering exotic outdoor showers. This delightful feature allows you to shower outdoors enjoying your tropical setting to the maximum - in total privacy of course.

We have forty eight Superior rooms which are laid out in a “twin cottage” style. Four of these rooms offer a sea view whilst the others are set in our beautiful tropical gardens.

These rooms have a large bedroom of twenty eight square metres as well as a convenient Restroom of nine square metres.

The resort boasts twenty one of these delightfully designed rooms – four of which have a glorious sea view. The other seventeen lie within our specially landscaped gardens.

The roomy “single cottage” design offers you a very large bedroom of twenty eight square metres accompanied by a spacious restroom of eleven square metres.

Why not treat yourself to our top floor, top of the range suites. These expansive residences offer commanding views over our lush gardens and really give you room to spread out, relax and unwind.

The huge bedrooms are thirty seven square metres in size and the enormous restrooms are seventeen square metres in size

Sea Breeze Restaurant

Sea Breeze restaurant at Koh Chang Tropicana Hotel provides quality dining in an informal and relaxed atmosphere beside Klong Prao beach. You can dine indoors or sit on our beachside patio shaded by coconut palms.

The lunch menu focuses on Thai and pasta dishes. In the evening a wide menu is available with an emphasis on fresh, locally caught, seafood and the tenderest cuts of local and imported meats prepared on a charcoal grill.

Our Filipino house band plays every night, accompanying diners with a tasteful selection of Latin tunes and setting the mood for a relaxed and sophisticated dining experience.

Next to the restaurant is the Sunset Bar. Here you can, of course, relax with a cocktail as the sun falls away behind the islands of Klong Prao bay. It is also a great spot to retire for a relaxed drink or two by the sea after dinner.

Feel free to join The Tropicana Spa treatments at our large and well-appointed spa. Our trained professionals provide exquisite treatments and attentive caring service in a beautiful Spa setting. We use only the best quality natural products and offer a wide range of spa treatment including traditional Thai Massage, Aroma Massage, Facial Scrubs and Treatments and Foot Reflexology to name but a few.

What better way to get out into the marine national park than to take out one of our sturdy ocean kayaks? Koh Chang Tropicana lies on Klong Prao beach which offers several offshore islands just waiting to be explored by the intrepid kayaker. The view of Koh Chang’s green mountain peaks from out at sea is one of the most memorable things that you can take from your stay on this lovely island.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving

One of the main reasons that Koh Chang has been designated a marine national park is because of its outstanding undersea life. You can take a look at the amazing ecosystem of the tropical coral reef by arranging one of our snorkeling trips to the best spots in the national park. Or why not make the most of your holiday by learning to dive, or if you dive already, by arranging a trip to explore the undersea delights of the Koh Chang archipelago. We will be happy to arrange it all for you.

Boat Trips

There are fifty one other islands clustered around Koh Chang. You can spend a blissful day hopping from one to the other on one of our boats trips. Sunbathe, snorkel and enjoy the amazing settings from the comfort of a large and fully-appointed cruise boat.

Our huge round swimming pool is situated immediately next to the sumptuous sands of Klong Prao beach and offers you the opportunity to have a quick and cooling dip to escape the rays of the tropical sun. An ample deck area allows you to laze in sun or shade and swim, bathe relax and sleep as the mood takes you. Our covered Pavilion next door allows you to take to the water from a covered and more sheltered base.

It is surrounded by a tropical garden where you can relax with snacks and refreshing drinks served poolside throughout the day. Changing rooms and male and female shower facilities for your comfort are located just beside the pool bar.

Families will be pleased to learn that we have an adjacent children’s pool that allows the kids to play in shallower water in a fun and safe environment.

Whilst it is still a relatively new tourist destination you will find that we can offer you a wealth of different activities in and around Koh Chang for the times when you wish to take a break from the beach.

Island Tours

Koh Chang is Thailand’s second largest island and we will be happy to arrange a tour for you to explore the place. You can take a trip to Bang Bao village in the south, a settlement on a pier heading out into a scenic bay. We will show you some of the other beaches that the island has to offer as well as showing you some of the serene natural scenes of the less developed East side of the island.

Elephant Trekking

Since Koh Chang means “elephant island” in Thai what better what better way could there be to explore the natural beauty of this

tropical haven than from the back of an elephant? We can arrange for you to have an educational and fun meeting with these gentle giants whilst taking a ride through some fantastic rain forest scenery.

Waterfalls and Wildlife

Koh Chang Tropicana Resort and Spa is located just a couple of kilometres from Klong Plu waterfall – Koh Chang’s finest cascade. Here you can take a charming ten minute riverside walk through shaded jungle – admiring all kinds of tropical rain forest flora and fauna. At the end of your walk you can take a refreshing and cooling swim in the plunge pool of the waterfall as all kinds of brightly-coloured butterflies fly past you.
